USING ABSTRACT COLOUR 2018-19

This exciting new course will enable more personal uses of colour and varying degrees of colour abstraction, whatever your preferred style of painting. The focus is on how artists can intensify, modify, edit, manage and gain confidence in manipulating colour palettes beyond simply matching the observable colour.

You can book either or both terms, each consisting of three workshops about a month apart. You can book to be part of different groups each term, or stay in the same group.

What to expect

  • Professional artist-tutor with over eighteen years’ experience of teaching adults
  • Friendly and constructive atmosphere
  • Short demonstrations, technical advice and information
  • A mix of structured exercises and more independent work
  • Individual support and feedback, relevant to your aims and previous experience
  • During workshops we work either from still life OR from homework drawings and research in preparation for the next class
  • Warm, light, private studio with easy parking on York Avenue, Headington, Oxford
  • View 2018-19 leaflet with more information here >
