Artist statement about the selected work.

Abstracted spring flowers in Time Lapsing 3 connect us both with the solace of beauty in fleeting blooms and falling petals, and with subjective experience of time passing. Time’s experiential elasticities -  speeding, slowing or lost lapses of attention - are embedded in collaged breaks in the painting surface.
