Not all communication is verbal. Pace, pitch, rhythm and timbre make up the non-linguistic, tactile and touching qualities of the voice and I was (and am) interested to paint the non-verbal qualities of conversations.

These works on paper were made while chatting live with exhibition visitors to CURIOS, during the annual art_ house_ life exhibition, Ventnor, Isle of Wight. The process is part performance and part collaborative drawing practice. Nothing was added or changed after the conversations ended.
